Active School Uniform

As an OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) “always active” school, we encourage children to be active and outdoors in all weathers. Our uniform is designed to be practical, comfortable and suitable for active learning throughout the day.

Core Uniform

Children are expected to wear:

  • White or dark bottle green polo shirt (with or without school logo)
  • Dark bottle green sweatshirt (with or without school logo)
  • Plain black, unbranded joggers or leggings
  • Sturdy, plain dark trainers
  • School book bag (to be brought in daily)

Outdoor Learning Essentials

As children will be outside in all weather conditions, the following items are essential:

  • Wellies (to be kept in school)
  • Waterproof coat (as needed daily)
  • Winter essentials: gloves and a hat
  • Summer essentials: sun hat and sunscreen
  • Plain black shorts (appropriate length, for warmer days)

Our current uniform supplier is Brigade, where you can purchase logoed items including:

  • Sweatshirts and cardigans
  • White and bottle green polo shirts
  • White PE tops
  • Book bags

They also offer fleeces, hoodies, and waterproof jackets.

Swimming Kit (Years 3)

  • One-piece swimming costume or swimming trunks
  • Towel
  • Goggles (optional)
  • Swimming hat (optional)

Appearance and Health & Safety

Piercings:

  • Only a single pair of small, plain stud earrings is permitted
  • Earrings must be removed for PE and swimming
  • If removal is not possible, please provide tape or send them already covered

Jewellery:

  • A watch may be worn (no smart watches)
  • No other jewellery is permitted (except medical bracelets)

Nails & Make-up:

  • False nails, nail varnish, and makeup are not permitted

Hair:

  • Hairstyles should be tidy and natural in colour
  • Long hair must be tied back
  • Extreme styles (e.g. tramlines) are not permitted
